Dolphins happy after day one

Durban – After losing the toss and bowling first, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins would have been happy to be batting at the close of play on day one of their CSA 4-Day Domestic Series clash with the Dafabet Warriors at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium.

It was a good day for the Dolphins against the table-topping Warriors and they managed to bowl the visitors out for 267 on day one.

The action was highlighted by the Dolphins seamers who bagged seven of the ten wickets to fall.

Daryn Dupavillon was the pick of the Dolphins bowlers taking 3/49 while Andile Simelane took 2/60.

Eathan Bosch was as economical as ever, taking 1/14 from ten overs. Okuhle Cele was also in the wickets picking up 1/36.

Jordan Hermann started well for the Warriors making 54 before he was well run out by Prenelan Subrayen who hit the stumps directly from an acute angle.

Rudi Second and Sinethemba Qeshile also added half centuries to the Warriors total.

Credit to the Dolphins bowlers, the Warriors lose their last six wickets for the addition of just 42 runs to be bowled out for 267.

In reply, the Dolphins will begin day two on 17 without loss. Captain SJ Erwee and Tshepang Dithole will continue on Thursday morning.
