Durban – Following a strong showing on the pitch last season, Fourways Airconditioning has renewed it’s associate sponsorship deal with the Hollywoodbets Dolphins for another season with the right to extend, which emphasises the faith and support businesses have in the Dolphins franchise.
Fourways signed a ground-breaking deal with the Dolphins in 2018 and following the conclusion of their initial two year deal have exercised their right to renew.
To renew their partnership with the Dolphins was an easy one for Fourways’ CEO Richard Perry.
“It certainly was an easy decision as we have really enjoyed working with Heinrich (Strydom) and the Dolphins family,” Perry said.
“We have had two fantastic years with the team, with us both seeing the Dolphins and the Fourways brand grow exponentially.
“The stadium is looking immaculate with the many changes and is certainly one of the top stadiums in South Africa.
“The way the team represent themselves, both on and off the field, certainly makes us really proud at Fourways. We have enjoyed trying to keep them cool under pressure.”
The Dolphins have made strides in performance over the past two seasons and ended the 2019/20 season with the Momentum One Day Cup trophy, another reason why Fourways renewed their deal.
“The growth has been fantastic which has included a trophy win, the development of a great squad, as well as the stadium improvements. Well done to Heinrich and the other staff that were involved in these projects.
“The stadium is world class and it’s now such a lovely space for families to come and chill, and watch some exciting cricket.
“We are proud to be associated with the union. Our business has also seen good growth in difficult trading circumstances and we hope to continue our long association with the management as well as the team,” Perry explained.
From the time that they signed their first deal with the franchise the reasoning behind their agreement hasn’t changed.
“Cricket is a team sport and this suits the brand we are. We fully believe that Fourways is a team. Everyone in the company has a huge role to play in what we do, and what we deliver, which is service.
“We are all equally responsible and have a part to play in delivering to our customers. We are also a family orientated company and cricket is enjoyed as a family.
“Having worked alongside the Dolphins for two years, we have seen how they operate as a family and everyone goes the extra mile to help each other. We have branches across South Africa and supply customers up in Africa too.
“The Dolphins have certainly assisted us in growing our brand nationally and internationally,” he added.
CEO of KZN Cricket Heinrich Strydom said he was excited that even during a difficult economic period, Fourways has continued to show faith and support for the Dolphins.
“We have built a fantastic relationship with Richard and his team at Fourways over the past two years and we are hugely grateful that they are continuing this journey with us,” Strydom said.
“The confidence that they have put in the Dolphins and KZN Cricket is great to see and we want to continue to repay that faith with strong performances on the field and innovation behind the scenes.
“Our players are our most important asset, and Fourways have certainly assisted us in creating a world-class environment for them. The Fourways Players Chill room was one of Richard’s great ideas and it has added immense value to the stadium, as well as the team.”

This program will be a series of monthly engagements to upskill our players and staff and to equip them with some valuable skills to optimize their playing careers, but also to help prepare them for life after cricket.”
