Dolphins and Knights set to go deep in day four

Durban – The CSA 4-Day Domestic series clash between the Hollywoodbets Dolphins and the Itec Knights looks set to go the full distance as the visitors piled on first innings runs at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead stadium on Saturday.

Resuming on 168/1 the Free Staters batted positively to reach 321/2 before they were forced off the field by fading light, handing them a first innings lead of 95 runs, thanks largely to a disciplined century from Martin Kleinveldt.

The solitary wicket to fall was that of skipper Pite van Biljon, who became the second wicket of debutante Odirilie Modimokoane when he was caught by Eathan Bosch for 33.

Farhaan Behardien then joined Kleinveldt at the crease until the play was suspended for the day with Kleinveldt on 139 and Behardien on 43.

With one day to play in the match the key clash between the log leaders and the defending champions looks set to go deep into Sunday’s play, and will require some bold decisions and stand-out performances to extract a result from this third round tie.
