Rookie seamer, Daryn Dupavillon, bagged a five-wicket haul as the Sunfoil Dolphins wrapped up a 242-run victory over the Chevrolet Knights after a convincing performance in the Sunfoil Series at the Diamond Oval.
The Dolphins dominated the game from start to finish, and needed just 38 overs to complete their victory on the final day as Dupavillon took 5 for 38 in 15 overs, to finish with match figures of 8 for 122.
The 20-year-old had grabbed a couple of scalps on the third evening to leave the Knights 11 for three overnight in their search for 369 to win, and he ripped through the middle-order in a devastating spell of fast bowling on Sunday that brought him three for 19 in seven overs.
It left the Knights on 94 for six at lunch, and Matthew Pillans removed Michael Erlank with the fourth ball after the break before Keshav Maharaj grabbed the final three wickets in a single over to bowl the Knights out for 126.
Diego Rosier (38), Pite van Biljon (35) and Patrick Botha (25) were the only batsmen to reach double figures for the Knights.
The Dolphins took 17.06 points to move above their opponents into fourth, while the Knights earned 4.1 and now sit fifth.
