  • Ball and Best edge England ahead 29 Jul 2010 | 11:09 pm

After two tense days England edged ahead on the third day of their hard fought tussle against Sri Lanka after three wickets apiece to Jacob Ball and Paul Best restricted Sri Lanka to 171 for 7 at Scarborough

  • Morgan proves the man for all formats 29 Jul 2010 | 11:01 pm

Eoin Morgan's impact on the first day at Trent Bridge was so emphatic, at times you wondered what all the pre-match fuss had been about

  • Uncertain Kaneria fails to make his mark 29 Jul 2010 | 10:48 pm

Under bright skies in Nottingham and on a dry, low pitch, today was not a day for the fast bowlers to run rampant. Instead with plenty of turn on offer it was a day begging for the spinners to take control

  • Pakistan hopeful batsmen can undo fielding errors 29 Jul 2010 | 10:45 pm

After the high of Headingley, Pakistan's new-found confidence took something of a battering on the first day at Trent Bridge, as a combination of missed chances, squandered reviews and a double-hundred partnership between Eoin Morgan and Paul Collingwood

Marais Erasmus, Rod Tucker and Shavir Tarapore have been included in the umpires’ panel confirmed for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 2010, which takes place in the West Indies from 30 April to 16 May.

The three, who are part of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires, will join their colleagues from the Emirates Elite Panel for the tournament.

The full list of umpires is: Billy Bowden, Aleem Dar, Steve Davis, Billy Doctrove, Ian Gould, Tony Hill, Rudi Koertzen, Asoka de Silva, Simon Taufel, Asad Rauf (all from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires), Marais Erasmus, Shavir Tarapore and Rod Tucker (all from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires).

The match referees for the event will be: Ranjan Madugalle, Alan Hurst and Jeff Crowe (all from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees).

It will be noted that Daryl Harper, also of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, has not been selected for this event. This decision was taken by the selection panel for a number of general performance reasons. It must be categorically stated, however, that none of these reasons is related to his role as third umpire in the fourth Test between South Africa and England in Johannesburg earlier this year.

The selection panel consists of David Richardson (ICC General Manager – Cricket), Ranjan Madugalle (ICC Chief Match Referee), David Lloyd (former player, coach, umpire and now television commentator) and Srinivas Venkataraghavan (former elite panel umpire).
