Andrew Hall was then promoted to number three but the gamble to send Hall up the order failed when he was caught by Colin Ingram in Lyall Meyer’s first over for 10. Imraan Khan top scored with 45 (31 balls, 7 x 4’s) before falling to Boje for 45. Theron took the catch, to leave the Dolphins on 75 for three. They then lost the wickets of the in-form David Miller ( 5) , Ahmed Amla (31), Daryn Smit ( 0) , Johann Louw ( 0 ) and Dale Benkenstein ( 21) , leaving Pierre de Bruyn and Quinton Friend on six and two respectively as the Dolphins finished on 139 for eight from their 20 overs. Ntini took two for 22 and Theron two for 20. Earlier, the Warriors made 162 for five after winning the toss and electing to bat. They got off to a good start after an opening partnership of 70 from nine overs and three balls between Arno Jacobs and Jon Smuts. Smuts was the first wicket to fall when he was caught by Friend off the debutant left arm spinner , Keshav Maharaj for 45 ( 31 balls , 7 x 4’s). The in-form Colin Ingram was the next wicket to fall when he was trapped leg before wicket by de Bruyn for 32.
