The Nashua Dolphins and the Diamond Eagles drew their SuperSport Series match at the City Oval in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday.

 

 

 

 

 

The Eagles had reached 203/3 when bad light brought an end to the day’s proceedings shortly

before tea on the last day.

 

Dean Elgar, who resumed on 35, was unbeaten in the end with his score on 110. He reached his hundred off 206 balls before the lunch interval.

 

Riley Rossouw was the first wicket to fall this morning when he was caught by Cameron Delport off Andrew Hall for 56, after adding 106 runs for the second wicket with Elgar.

 

Boeta Dippenaar then added 61 for the third wicket with Elgar before he fell to the part-time bowling of Ahmed Amla. He was caught by Hall for 12.

 

Hall bagged two for 25 from 13 overs for the Dolphins while Amla was named man of the match for his 134.

 

The Dolphins now move up to fourth on the log with 25, 56 points from four games while the Eagles occupy third spot with 28, 04 points from three games.

 

The Dolphins next game is against the Nashua Cape Cobras from November 19 at the Sahara Stadium Kingsmead.
