The Chevrolet Warriors beat the Nashua Dolphins by 13 runs in their MTN 40 Match in Chasing 214 for victory, the Dolphins could only manage 200 for nine from their 40 overs. Man of the match Lonwabo Tsotsobe destroyed the Dolphins top order by claiming the wickets of Hashim Amla (3), Ahmed Amla (1), Hylton Ackerman (0) and Andrew Hall for 51 to end with 4 for 27 from his eight overs. Apart from Hall, captain Imraan Khan made 54 at the top of the innings but the burst from Tsotsobe up front did enough to restrict the Dolphins run chase. Twenty year old David Miller gave the 2600 Dolphins supporters something to cheer about as he smacked a quickfire 33 from 14 balls which included three fours and two consecutive sixes off Rusty Theron in the 37th over. However, the Dolphins chances of a victory evaporated when he was caught by Ashwell Prince off Johan Botha two overs later. Needing 19 runs to win off the last over, they could only manage five runs. Earlier the Warriors made 213 for seven after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Craig Thyssen, batting at number eight top scored with an unbeaten 56 off 60 balls (5x4’s, 2x6’s) while Mark Boucher chipped in with 47 from 84 balls. Quinton Friend and Yusuf Abdulla were the pick of the bowlers for the Dolphins with two for 38 and two for 47 respectively.
