Dolphins & Cobras share the points

The Sunfoil Dolphins lost their second game of the Momentum One-Day Cup to the weather as their clash with the Nashua Cape Cobras at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead on Sunday 26 October was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

After winning their match against the bizhub Highveld Lions on Friday and seeing the Cobras lose to The Unlimited Titans, the Dolphins had hoped to close the gap on the competition’s top side ahead of the three-month break in the tournament.

Instead inclement weather saw the two sides share the points, meaning the Cobras enjoy a five-point lead over the Dolphins when the competition resumes in late January while the Lions’ bonus win over the Titans sees them just a point behind in third.

The South African domestic cricket season now turns it’s attention to the action-packed RAM Slam T20 Challenge which gets underway with a tripleheader at Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday 2 November.
