Sunfoil Dolphins Cape Town bound

The Sunfoil Dolphins have retained the same squad to do battle against the Nashua Cape Cobras at Sahara Park Newlands in their Sunfoil Series later this week that came within a whisker of victory over the Chevrolet Knights at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead clash last week.

Graham Hume pulled up with a hamstring niggle at training the day before the Knights clash however both he and his injury replacement, Calvin Savage, have been included for the Cape Town trip while young seamer Tshepo Moreki is the only addition to the squad.

With injury still plaguing Ryan McLaren, Robbie Frylinck and Craig Alexander, Hume’s KZN Inland partner Matthew Pillans took the opportunity he was given against the Knights and filled his boots as he clinched his maiden first class ten wicket match haul.

Morné van Wyk will be hoping for more of the same from Pillans at Newlands while the skipper will be hoping both he and his younger brother Divan will be able to continue their recent run of form with the bat after both notched up centuries against the Knights.

The Sunfoil Dolphins take on the Nashua Cape Cobras at Sahara Park Newlands from Thursday 5-Sunday 8 March.
